Desacralizing and Evangelizing Politics

The following is drawn from two reflections that were previously published over on the Anchored Argosy: Keeping Faith In and Out of Politics and Understanding the Boundaries Between Church and Politics.

The Internet is the Negative World

Every two or three weeks, Susannah and I will post on our free Substack, The Anchored Argosy. Within our posts, we give an update on our news, share some photos, and provide links to recent things we have produced. In each post, I will also usually share some thoughts on a subject that has been on my mind over the period. In our latest Substack post, I shared some thoughts on Aaron Renn’s recent book, Life in the Negative World: Confronting Challenges in an Anti-Christian Culture. I also recorded an audio form of the reflection which is available on YouTube and on my podcast.

C.S. Lewis for Everyone

The reception of C.S. Lewis has been a topic of conversation of late. The historian Mark Noll recently wrote a piece on the reception of Lewis in America for Ad Fontes. I also wrote a piece on Lewis, considering the importance of consideration of the context of the Church of England for understanding Lewis. Brad East, friend of the podcast, also wrote a blog post on Lewis, and whether he would have the same appeal among American evangelicals if he were writing today. Derek, Matt, and I discuss Lewis and his appeal in this episode.
