This week on the Theopolis podcast, Peter Leithart and I discuss the concluding chapters of John’s Gospel.

Can you present some guidelines for a responsible handling of Biblical numerology? Many numerologists go way overboard, and many sober-minded theologians reject its use wholesale. Can you inject some moderation into this?
Could you clarify for lay readers of the Bible (who might be getting confused or forgetting things from one book to another) by giving an overview of how the tribes of Israel are numbered as twelve, and differences between how the tribes are numbered (or in how they are named) throughout the biblical narrative?
I recorded a video earlier this evening, talking through the interpretation of Luke 3-4 against the background of Ezekiel. It is an experiment and clearly leaves much to be desired. However, if people like it, I might do this and other videos more regularly (and hopefully in a more organized and less rambling fashion!). For instance, if people have questions that they would like me to answer, recording a video is quicker than much writing a blog post.
